Kentner declares candidacy nomination as Councillor for Ward 3

Halton - Georgtown: Life long Ward 3 resident Dave Kentner jumps into Halton Hills 2006 civic race. The successful entrepreneur is in touch with the community's business needs through operating a successful community family owned catering business with his wife Gerry and two daughters for over 30 years. Kentners Catering was selected Business of the Year in 1991.

Dave has quite the impressive resume as a community volunteer, serving as past President of Georgetown Jaycees (Junior Chamber of Commerce), operated the “Pioneer Days Program” in cooperation with Downtown Businesses prior to formation of B.I.A.. He has also been involved extensively in the community's sports leagues serving his community as Chairman of Georgetown Hockey Heritage Council. He was also past President of Georgetown Int. “A” Raiders Hockey Club, General Manager of Canadian Int. “A” Champion Raiders Hockey Club (1982), past President of the Georgetown Minor Hockey Association, General Manager of Georgetown Sr. “A” Hockey Club, past President of Georgetown Jr. “B” Gemini/Raiders Hockey Club and the 2002 Recipient of Georgetown Hockey Heritage Award. Dave was also one of the founding Members of the Halton Hills Sports Museum and Resource Centre

Dave Chaired the Halton Hills Parks and Recreation Master Plan Committee (mid 1990’s), He's also served as past President of the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and was recipient of the Halton Hills Chamber of Commerce “Marg Tannas Award” for volunteerism (2005). Dave is also a volunteer Driver for Cancer Assistance for Halton Hills.

The Grandfather of four who has lived all his life in Ward 3, where he and his wife Gerry raised their 2 daughters, has served his community well. Dave has put the hours in and has used his hands-on approach to stayed in touch with the needs of his community.

Dave Kentner pledges to work as your Ward 3 Councillor to preserve our “Halton Hills Lifestyle”.

Help maintain our friendly and secure “small town” feeling where you know and speak with your neighbours Support our active volunteers (our outstanding Volunteer Fire Department, our two Legions, Our Chamber of Commerce, our senior centres, our sports groups, our wonderful service clubs and a whole host of others) Help foster our sense of municipal pride by being supportive of those local individuals or groups seeking excellence

Dave Kentner will work as your Ward 3 Councillor to make sure that Ward 3 is not forgotten as development comes to other areas of Halton Hills.
