BRYAN LEWIS ANNOUNCES HIS NOMINATION TO SEEK RE-ELECTION IN WARD TWO

May 10,2006

Halton - Hornby: Councillor Lewis; "I have enjoyed serving the residents of the Town of Halton Hills as your Councillor Representative in Ward 2 (the rural portion of Halton Hills) and will be seeking re-election in the up-coming Monday, November 13, 2006 Election.

I first entered the political arena in 2000 and was elected for a three year term. I was fortunate to be acclaimed to the same position in the 2003 and thus have served 6 years representing the rural residents, rural entrepreneurs and the farming community of Halton Hills".

Lewis stated: “While you are elected to serve a particular area of Halton Hills, your concerns and address must reflect the best for ALL and therefore you really represent the entire Town of Halton Hills.

I have enjoyed my association with the Rural Community and over the years have seen a significant impact upon the rural portions of Halton Hills. I would reference the on-going condition of rural roads, impact of trucks through our community, growth in the rural portions of our community, green-belting pros and cons, policing of the rural areas and the general quality of life impacts in rural Halton Hills.

I believe that my experience as the Chair of the Site Alteration Committee, amongst other Town Committees has enabled me to administer to the Rural Community within Halton Hills in an appropriate manner.

Living in rural Halton Hills; dealing with the many country issues hands-on; working closely with fellow Urban and Rural Councillors and Town of Halton Hills Staff, has enabled the many rural issues to be addressed as quickly and efficiently as possible.

I have enjoyed my tenure as the Rural Elected Representative of Halton Hills (Ward 2) and will be seeking the confidence of Halton Hills residents once again, in the November 13, 2006 election.”
