Ward Four Candidate is "Putting Halton Hills First"... April 13, 2006 Halton Hills: Georgetown resident Kevin Duggan today filed nomination papers as a candidate for Ward four in this year's municipal election campaign.
Kevin is a strong advocate for families, and hopes to lead the fight to reduce the continuing explosion of residential development in Halton Hills and to maintain affordable municipal services. Kevin's political philosophy defers to ensuring government's most important role of protecting our families and our town, while allowing business and commerce to serve the needs of our community.
The priorities tabled by Duggan if elected will focus on ensuring the safety of all citizens of Halton Hills, responsible development for both residential and industrial citizens, and to provide the residents of Ward four an honest commitment to community and family values. Duggan, who has never held political office, made the decision to run
in this campaign after much consideration. "I have lived in Halton
Hills since early childhood", states Duggan. "My Parents live
here, and I am raising my own young family here. Halton Hills is full
of young families and I recognized the need for this group to be represented
on our Council". continues next column ...

Duggan's motives for what he calls "stepping up to the plate" are paramount. "I have lived in Halton Hills for 28 of my 39 years of life. That gives me 28 years of experience as a Halton Hills resident. I love this community, and if elected, will represent with absolute integrity and accountability. Although our geography in Halton Hills keeps us in very close proximity to larger municipalities, as Ward four Councilor I will fight to ensure the maintenance of our small town lifestyle", stated Duggan.
Kevin Duggan is dedicated to the success of Halton Hills. |
