CAO informs defendant, regardless of court's decision, they are still going to come after him with taxpayers money. April 12, 2006 Halton Hills: On April 10, 2006 defendant Al Kirouac in the case of The Town of Halton Hills and Terry Alyman v. Al Kirouac met with The Town of Halton Hills CAO - Dennis Perlin and discussed The Ontario Superior Court Judges decision to strike the government claim made by the Town of Halton Hills, against Mr. Kirouac for defamation. The Ontario Superior Court ruled last Friday, April 7, 2006; "Governments are accountable to the people through the ballot box, and not to judges and juries in courts of law. When government is criticized, its recourse is in the public domain, not the courts. The government may not imprison, or fine, or sue, those who criticize it. The government may respond. This is fundamental. Litigation is a form of force, and
the government must not silence its critics by force." Halton Hills Town CAO -Dennis Perlin LLP, informed Mr. Kirouac in a meeting on April 10th, 2006, despite the Judges decision to strike the Town's claim and his reasons for doing so, The Town of Halton Hills will be using taxpayers money to finance Town's Director -Terry Alyman's personal claim against Al Kirouac. continues next column ...

Mr. Kirouac provided this comment; Am I surprised? No, not really. These elected members are the same people who voted to give an election campaign contributor over $150,000.00 from the town's coffers just because, in their view, they are good corporate citizens. Yet, can only find $4000.00 to give to a community that needs park equipment replaced, which the Town neglected to properly maintain. These are the same people who found an underhanded way to give designated parkland to their campaign contributing friends, family, and business partners, while calling concerned citizens of the community who complained to the police, “conspiracy theorist”. These are the same people who targeted a community member who took pictures of safety concerns at public facilities, and was suspended from using those facilities for doing so, yet tolerated a photographer entering the facility to take pictures of children to post on the world wide web. These are the same people who sat by and said nothing while senior administrators publicly discriminated against its community’s non-profit group, because it served their own needs in silencing their critics. These are the same people who conspired with upper-tier government entities and voted to control the Media in our community. And now our judicial system has confirmed, these are the same people who inappropriate taxpayers funds to sue their our community's private citizens, targeting those who have publicly criticize them, contrary to the constitutions and laws of the people. I guess all I can say at this point is; this serves to prove The Town of Halton Hills is anti-democratic and only serves itself. continues next column ... |
Our judiciary system sent a clear message to these government administrators and their governing council last week. Yet, rather than adhering to the message that our courts sent to them, our government decided to find another creative way use taxpayers money to continue to persecute one of its critics. Canada is not a communist country. It's time the Province and/or our Federal Government stepped in and stopped these lower level administrators and governing councils from misappropriating public money for their own personal self-interests. People in Canada are protesting Government by lighting themselves on fire in Municipal government offices in a desperate attempt to make a statement about government and the only story the paper's print, is; what heroes the government employees were in minimizing the damage to the public building. It's now apparent Canadians are beginning to acting out in desperation protesting government like we’re living in Tiananmen Square, and the government response is, finding ways to circumvent the intentions and laws of our courts and the peoples constitutional rights, in an attempt to silence its critics as though it is Tiananmen Square. |
