Halton Hills - Halton
Hills residents have probably noticed the Town has started its road repair
program.
The pavement management program was adopted to
address our decrepit poorly managed roads, some of which the works
department, hadn't addressed for 20 years. It's a five-year program
financed by taxpayers through a dedicated two per cent tax increase
on top of whatever the base budget amounts to.
This year, $1.1 million worth of repairs started
in Georgetown, next year will move to Acton and the following year
the crews will be back to Georgetown and Glen Williams and will
continue back and forth.
The above pictures a member sent in to us to show
what a fine professional job the town is doing at keeping the Mold
Masters parking lot together. The pictures below are of work done on
one of our Councillor's rural road.

The Halton Herald is encouraging all it's members
to send in more pictures of the repairs going on in your
neighbourhood so we may keep you up-to-date on how our tax dollars
are being put to good use.
