The Halton Herald's 'Wheels for Seniors' Campaign delivers to Acton's Senior Centre

Halton Hills - Acton: Town of Halton Hills Seniors' Coordinator, Wendy Krever thanks Al Kirouac, editor of The Halton Herald for the walkers donated to the Senior Centre, made possible by The Halton Herald's community - 'Wheels for Seniors' campaign.

"Over the summer the first set of walkers were donated to Acton's Legion. This batch we decided should go to Acton's Senior Centre and the next two batches, donations permitting, will go to the Georgetown's Seniors Centre, then Georgetown's Legion respectively. We felt seniors' need not be left out on all the excitement stemming from the Town's 'Walk in the Hills' campaign and thought the best way to encourage their participation, encouraging them to be more active was by giving them the tools to aid their mobility", said the Herald Editor.
