Ottawa - The Georgetown Children’s Chorus are eagerly anticipating their
trip to Europe for the "In Grateful Thanks" tour, which will take place from

Here's my perspective about recent events in Ottawa. When Justice
Gomery lifted the publication ban at the sponsorship scandal inquiry, many
were shocked at the details involving government money and the Liberal Party
in Quebec. At that point, it became increasingly difficult for me and my
party to justify supporting a government operating under such a cloud of
corruption.

The Kyoto Accord and its implication on environmental policy are
prominent in the headlines. Regardless of where one stands on Kyoto, there
is no doubt that energy consumption in Canada has risen rapidly in recent
years, both on a per capita and national basis. That fact, coupled with
higher energy prices and a concern about our deteriorating summer air, has
lead to increased public awareness about the need to reduce energy
consumption.

"Agriculture is important to Wellington-Halton Hills. It was to my riding,
into Puslinch Township, that the first Hereford cattle were imported into
Canada by Frederick Stone in the 1850s. It is in my riding that part of the
world renowned Ontario Agricultural College of the University of Guelph is
located. Wellington County and Halton Region together have 3,200 farms
generating $570 million in farm gate sales.
